Alma Olga Hanson, 93, of Woodbury, Minn., died there July 17 at Woodbury Health and Care Center. A celebration of life service was held Friday at Bethany Lutheran Church in Rice Lake, with the Rev. Doug Olson officiating and burial at Nora Cemetery in Rice Lake.

Mrs. Hanson was born March 27, 1912 to Martin and Anna (Anderson) Lee. She moved to a farm west of Rice Lake as a child and grew up there and attended Lone Elm Rural School. She later married Hjalmer Hanson, and they spent most of their lives farming on the farm where Mrs. Hanson was raised. In recent years, the couple moved to Woodbury. Mrs. Hanson enjoyed working on the farm, baking, making lefse and listening to gospel music.

She is survived by two daughters, Betty Klungness of Lakeville, Minn., and Kathryn Buelow of Coon Rapids, Minn.; a son, Hjalmer “Marty” of Woodbury; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Hanson’s husband, Hjalmer, died in 2000. A grandson also preceded her in death.
