Mary Lou Nelson: Age 67 of Lapeer died April 19, 2008. Born February 21, 1941 in West Virginia to the late Walter and Brookie Aldridge. Mary was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend to many. She enjoyed quilting and cooking. She seemed to have a natural green thumb when it came to her plants. Through it all she had always kept the Lord close to her heart. Her family is now comforted in knowing that she will now be their guardian angel. Mary is survived by her daughters, Sheri (David) Hoag, Elizabeth Bowen, Tonya Field; sons, Keith Rice, Kelly (Teresa) Nelson; grandchildren, Trista (Lucas) Stebbins who she had helped raise, Brooke (Nathan) Smith, Meghan Rice, Jennifer Ellison, Britaney Nelson, Desirae Hoag, Shane Koval, Lee Bowen, Zachariah Hoag, Shawn Nelson, Ricky Nelson, Robert Field; great grandchildren, Hailey Stebbins, Dylan Stebbins, Savanna Smith; brother, Bernie (Effie) Aldridge; sisters, Della (Rocky) Bender, Carol (Perry) Ramey; sister-in-law, Darlene (the late, Wilburn) Aldridege; Also many loving nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Ella Louise Nelson and loving husband Sherman Nelson. Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 23, 2008 at Lynch & Sons Funeral Directors, Capstick Chapel, 542 Liberty Park, Downtown Lapeer. Friends may visit Monday 3-9 PM and Tuesday 1-9 PM Memorials to the Family are greatly appreciated.
