Mr. Paul Douglas "Doug" Droneburg Sr., 51, of Frederick, passed away Tuesday, March 23, 2010, at Frederick Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of 29 years to Sheila (Loughry) Droneburg.
Born March 7, 1959, he was the son of Doris (Gibbons) Droneburg of Frederick and the late Paul W. Droneburg.
Mr. Droneburg enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing and the Chesapeake Bay. He had a love for animals and would feed any that were in his yard. He had an amazing sense of humor and most of all, he loved being with his wife and family.
In addition to his wife and mother, Mr. Droneburg is also survived by his children, Misty Stull and husband, David, of Smithsburg, Paul D. Droneburg II and wife, Janell, of Brunswick, and Justin Droneburg and his girlfriend, Jessica Etzler, of Frederick. He is also survived by his grandsons, known as Pop-Pop's boys, Mason Stull and Eli Droneburg. He is the brother of Debhorah Crouch and husband, Robert, of Frederick David Droneburg of Frederick and Donna Diggs of Frederick. He is survived by his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Lyndon and Barbara Loughry, Charles and Carol Loughry, and Darelene Fogle; two aunts, Catherine Campbell and Joyce Hahn; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Lawerence and Mamie Loughry. He will be also missed by his pets, especially his two boys, Oscar and Milo.
Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, March 25, at Keeney and Basford, P.A., Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, March 26, in the Etchison Memorial Chapel of the funeral home. The Rev. Timothy S. May Sr. will officiate.
Interment will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frederick. Serving as pallbearers will be Lamar Stull, Michael Bunn, Jason Payne, Ryan Hawthrone, Eric Fogle and Ben Lucas.
