STEWART WINSTON-SALEM Nellie Gray Coram Stewart August 21, 2012 Nellie Gray Coram Stewart, 87, passed away peacefully on August 21, 2012 at Forsyth Hospital Palliative Care. She was born in Forsyth County to Rich and Emma Lee Coram. Nellie Gray, as friends knew her, attended Mineral Springs High School in Winston-Salem. Nellie Gray was very proud of and devoted to her five children. She was especially committed to her daughter Karen. Nellie Gray spent much time assisting Karen with her special needs. Nellie Gray loved gardening and was especially fond and proud of her flowers. The family loved to visit High Rock Lake where many family memories were born. She loved to fish from their pier and was quite good at it. Nellie Gray was preceded in death by her husband of more than 50 years, C.A. Stewart Jr., her daughter Karen and husband Scottie Snider and grandson Captain Seth Mitchell, USMC. Surviving are a sister: Kathleen Mills, children: Jerry (Lynn) Stewart, Steve (Dottie) Stewart, Connie (Steve) Mitchell, and Mark Stewart, grandchildren: Brian (Tara) Stewart, Chris (Mary) Stewart and Drew Mitchell, great granddaughter: Kyla Rose Stewart. A memorial service will be held Wednesday 1:00 p.m., August 29 at Lighthouse Baptist Church, 580 Priddy Farm Road, Rural Hall, NC 27045.
