Helen Irene Morris,87, died at Trinity Manor Nursing Home in Dodge City,KS. She was born to Clem Scott and Elizabeth Ethel(Trimpa) Preston on May 17,1920 at Bucklin. She married John Max Morris on Oct.5,1940. He preceded her in death on April 10,1983.

SHe spent her early days in the community of Ford,Ks. At the age of 15,she moved with her family to Wilroads Gardens where she lived until 1967. She then moved to Park Plaza Towers where she resided until her recent illness.

She graduated from Dodge City Senior High School in 1939.

She was a member of Wilroads Gardens Christian Church and a RSVP volunteer and a member of the Boot Hill Iris Club. She was an avid card player,enjoyed traveling and she was a devoted follower of the Lord.

She is survived by two daughters, Karen Campbell and husband, Talmage of Beaumont,Calif and Beth Rhoten and husband Darren of Dodge City,KS.;three sons,Robert of Laurel,Neb, Tommy(Betty)Morris of Fayetteville,Ark and Larry Morris of Kimberling City,Mo; one sister, Betty Hullman of St.John,KS.and Bob Preston of Dodge City; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one son,John Scott Morris on July 12,1996; four sisters and five brothers.

Funeral services were held at Wilroads Gardens Christian Church with Jeff Hiers presiding.
