ERMA K. BACON

Erma K. Bacon, 60, of Mulliken died July 29, 1989, at a Lansing hospital following a long illness.

Mrs. Bacon was born Aug. 26, 1928, in Mulliken to George and Nora (Ferris) Lunn and was a resident of Mulliken her entire life. She married Robert Bacon on April 6, 1946, in the home of her parents.

She was a member and past worthy matron of the Mulliken Order of Eastern Star 161, grand representative of Nebraska in Michigan, OES; county officer for Eaton County Association, and received the grand cross of color, International Order of Rainbow for Girls.

Surviving are her husband Robert Bacon; one son, Gary Bacon of Bellevue; two daughters, Violet Durfee and her husband, David, of Fairfax, VA, and Diane Olson and her husband, Todd, of Wacousta; three granddaughters, three grandsons; one brother, Leo Lunn and his wife, Joyce, of Harrison; one sister, Letha Savage and her husband, Phil, of Mulliken; and one aunt, Ella Musson of Grand Ledge.

Religious and Eastern Star services were held Aug. 2 at Barker-Leik Funeral Home, Mulliken, conducted by the Rev. Gordon Binns and the Mulliken OES. Interment will be in Meadowbrook Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Monday and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Memorials have been suggested to the Sunfield Area S.P.Y. Scholarship Fund, envelopes are available at the Funeral Home.
