Mr. T. J. Chaffin answered the supreme summons Saturday, January 26th, at his home after an illness of several years. Funeral services were conducted at the home Sunday afternoon, Rev. Spinks officiating. The remains were laid to rest in Rose Hill Cemetery, the K. P. Lodge in charge. The Sacred Harp singers, to which Mr. Chaffin was an ardent member, sang at the services.

After a long illness, Mr. T. J. Chaffin died at his home on Ann Street on the night of January 26th, and was buried on the 27th in Rose Hill Cemetery. His wife and children have our sympathy.
Obituary, T. J. Choffin, Tallassee, Ala., Feb. – T. J. Choffin, aged 56, died at his home Saturday night, Jan. 26, following an extended illness of several months. The funeral was held from the residence Sunday afternoon by Rev. A. G. Spinks, pastor of the Baptist Church, assisted by the order of Knights of Pythian's. His body was laid to rest in Rose Hill Cemetery.
