Donald Paul Adams, 48, left this world, surrounded by his family, to start his new life with his Savior, Sunday April 21, 2013. Paul was born June 26, 1964, and lived his entire life in Newport News. He was a graduate of Menchville High School, Newport News Shipbuilding Apprentice School, and received an Associates Degree from Thomas Nelson Community College. Paul was employed as a Hull Outfitting Designer at Huntington Ingalls, and more recently enjoyed what he called 'the greatest job in the world', as a machinist for Newport News Industrial, a division of HII.

Paul is survived by his wife, Tammie S. Adams; son, Kyle P. Adams (Heather); grandchildren, Nathanial and Laura Adams; his stepsons, Aubrie, Zachery, and Trentun Love; his parents, Donald and Dee Adams; his grandmother, Dorothy Twiford; his sisters, Linda Hilton (Michael), Joanne Blanchette (Garrett); and two nieces, Raychel and Jenna Blanchette.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 PM on Thursday, April 25, 2013 at W. J. Smith & Son Funeral Home, 210 Harpersville Road, Newport News. A funeral service in memory of Paul will be held at 2 PM on Friday, April 26, 2013 at First Church Ministries, located at 11303 Jefferson Avenue, in Newport News. A private burial will follow.
