New Iberia – A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Monday, July 15, 2013 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in New Iberia for Ruby Ann Duhon, 69, who died Friday, July 12, 2013, in New Iberia.

Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. Manny Fernandez will be the Celebrant. A gathering of family and friends will be Sunday from 2:30 PM until 9:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia. A rosary will be prayed at 6:30 PM Sunday. Visitation will continue Monday from 8:00 AM until 9:30 AM.

Mrs. Duhon was born on November 4, 1943 in Vermilion Parish and was a longtime resident of New Iberia. A successful business woman, she was the owner of Clinical Med Supply for 25 years, and was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. Mrs. Duhon enjoyed reading, having gatherings at her home, spending time with family and friends, and was very dedicated to her Church and her family.

Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Eugene Duhon, Jr. of New Iberia; sons, Shelly Duhon of New Iberia, Derk Duhon of New Iberia; daughters, Patrice Duhon Wiggins and husband Carl of San Jose, CA, Angie Duhon Renard and husband Jace of Delcambre; grandchildren, Aaron Romero, Martine Alexander, Chloe Duhon; great grandchildren, Madison Romero, Blakely Romero, Lucas Alexander, Jr.; step grandchildren, Garrett Wiggins, Ian Wiggins; step great grandchild, Rylan Wiggins.

She was preceded in death by parents, John and Eula Desormeaux Duhon; sister, Ardine Duhon, and infant sister, Therese.

Pallbearers include Shelly Duhon, Derk Duhon, Jace Renard, Carl Wiggins, Aaron Romero, and Lance Broussard.

The family would like to give special thanks to Heart of Hospice, Dr. David Rinaldi and staff, Dr. Timothy Viator and staff, M.D. Anderson Hospital, and Dr. David Fogelman and staff for their extraordinary care and compassion, and also to her family and friends for their prayers and support.
