Joshua Logan Hale, 16, of Goodview, Va. died Saturday, July 16, 2005. Our dear sweet boy has been taken from us. So young; so full of promise. He was a good boy with a great heart. Fun loving, kind and generous, he was a joyful spirit and loved by so many family and friends. A rising senior at William Byrd High School, Josh grew from a young boy swimming in Smith Mountain Lake and shooting baskets and playing foosball with his friends in Goodview, into a terrific athlete a strong presence on the school soccer team and a promising golfer. His latest passion was fine woodworking, and there is no doubt he would have made a wonderful craftsman. He loved his dogs Max and Rockie, and he had a passion for life that warmed the hearts of those around him. Tragically, he is gone from us. There are no words to express the grief and pain we feel for our lovely boy and those dear friends of his that died with him in such a cruel, cruel accident. Our hearts go out to their families in this bitter time. May they find peace and comfort in this time of great sorrow. We will miss you terribly.
