Jesse Willard Atkins, 73, 1750 Ogburn Chapel Road died Jan. 29, 1994 at home. He was born on July 22, 1920 in Stewart County, a son of Herschel Atkins and Elizabeth Legate Atkins. He was a retired carpenter and a US Army Airborne Veteran. He was married to Annie Mae Kennedy Atkins for 53 years. His daughters were Wanda Byard, Barbara (Joe) Huff, and Molly (Elmer) Patterson, all of Clarksville and Rebecca (Johnnie) Shepherd of Lexington, KY. He was the brother of Evans Atkins, Lillian Coleman, Cleo White and Thelma Carrigan. He had 21 grandchildren, and 30 great-great grandchildren.
