CARL H. HONAKER, 46, of 809 Ferndale Rd., died at the Mansfield General Hospital late Tuesday afternoon, shortly after being admitted. He had been under a doctor's care the past 10 days.
Mr. Honaker was born June 6, 1921 in Putnam County, VA,*(see note) and had lived here for the past five years.
He was a toolmaker for the Fisher Body Division, General Motors Corp. A veteran of World War II, he served with the U. S. Air Force.
Surviving are his wife, Geva Cooper Honaker; two sons, Joseph of Mt. Gilead and Terry at home; three daughters, Judy and Jerry at home, and Mrs. Charles Payne of Arlington, VA; one grandson; one brother, Curtis Honaker of Mansfield; two sisters, Mrs. Earl (Juanita M.) Eiklor and Mrs. Erie (Helen Louise) McKinney, both of Mansfield.
Services will be at the Wappner Funeral Home. Rev. James L. Standrige, pastor of Mr. Honoaker's church, the Cook Road Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in the Mansfield Cemetery.
