Emile Patrick "Pat" Abadie
ABADIE Emile Patrick "Pat" Abadie, died peacefully at home on Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at the age of 88.
Survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Helen Rita Schnorr Abadie, children, Reyne Abadie Beatmann (Arthur), Andree Abadie MacDonald (Darryl), Mark Abadie (Lisa), Jeanne Abadie Illg (John) and Rochelle Abadie Eisnaugle (Dave). Son of the late Eugene L. Abadie and Amelia Ernst, brother of the late Cyrille E., Joseph L., Eugene W., Yvonne R. Posner, Ernst H., Vera M. Gaiennie; and Lawrence E. Abadie. Also survived by seven grandchildren, Rhett Miranda, Jude Beatmann, Alaina Abadie, Daniel Abadie, Robert Illg, Emma and Sara Eisnaugle and the late Amelia Beatmann.
Native of New Orleans, resident of Jefferson Parish for 62 years.
He was a parishioner of St. Rita Catholic Church (Harahan), graduate of St. Aloysious High School and retired with 40 years of service with NOPSI. He loved his family and his hobbies of gardening, ceramics, and dancing.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Rita Church, 7100 Jefferson Highway, Harahan on Monday, July 15, 2013 at 11:00 am. Visitation from 10:00 am until time of service.
Interment in Garden of Memories, 4800 Airline Highway, Metairie, LA.
