June Stancil, age 77, of Birmingham, passed away June 9, 2013. Mrs. Stancil was a member of Raleigh Avenue Baptist Church and she retired as a cardiac nurse. She was a loving wife, devoted mother and the greatest Granny June. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and her sister. She is survived by her husband of sixty years, Wilburn H. Stancil, daughters, son, grandchildren, great-grandchidren, sister, nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at Bessemer Brown Service Funeral Home Thursday, June 13, 2013 at 2:00 pm with burial in Elmwood Cemetery, Pastor Larry Roberts and Pastor Daniel Wilson officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm.
