Mr. Hunter had been in failing health for about four years and had been bedfast three months, suffering from a complications of ailments. He was born June 7, 1908, in Carthage, and was married November 9, 1931, to Miss Helen W. Greenwood, who survives. They were married at Oswego, Kans. Mr. Hunter spent five years in Idaho but lived here the rest of his life.
Surviving besides his wife and mother are two sisters, Mrs. Joy Ortloff of Carthage and Mrs. Paul Stephens, at home, and a brother, M. J. Hunter, at home.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock this afternoon at Liberty church, 17 miles southeast of here. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
