Victor Frederick Hellmann, 79, Washington, passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2003, at Cedarcrest Manor, Washington.
Mr. Hellmann, the son of Joseph Hellmann and his wife Eleanor, nee Feltmann,was born July 11, 1923, at Washington.
He received his education at St. Francis Borgia Grade School and St. Francis Borgia High School.
Mr. Hellmann was a member of St. Francis Borgia Parish.
Mr. Hellmann was also a member of the Washington Boat Club and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2661.
On Oct. 19, 1946, he was united in marriage to Melba Stratman at St. Francis Borgia Church, Washington.
Mr. Hellmann served his country honorably as a member of the U.S. Air Force during World War II, from March 16, 1943, to Nov. 26, 1945.
He was employed for 37 years at the Ford Motor plant as a supervisor.
Mr. Hellmann was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Melba Hellmann, on Sept. 8,1993; two sons, Keith Hellmann in 1974, and Carl Hellmann in 1995; one daughter, Vickie Hellmann, in 1964; two brothers, Joseph Hellmann and Leon Hellmann; and one sister, Marilyn Hellmann. He is survived by four sons, Dale Hellmann and wife Dianne, Donald Hellmann and wife Barb, Charles Hellmann and wife
Laurie and Kevin Hellmann and wife Annette, all of
Washington; one sister, MaryAnn Newbanks and husband Melvin, Washington; 13 grandchildren, Tiffany Jacobson and husband Steve, Todd Lottmann and wife Jamie, Tim Lottmann and wife Jamie, Troy Hellmann, Tricia Hellmann, Tamie Hellmann, Misty Rothermich and husband Roy, Travis Hellmann, Scott Hellmann and wife Elizabeth, Tara Hellmann, Katherine Hellmann, Brittany Hellmann and Andrew Hellmann-Klekamp; four great-grandchildren; three sisters-in-law, Lucille Stratman, Rosemary Hellmann and Susan Hellmann, all of Washington;nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Friday, March 21, at St. Francis Borgia Church,Washington. Celebrants were the Rev. Jack Costello and the Rev. Dennis Zacheis.
Interment was in the church cemetery.
Memorials to Father Dale Brune's mission work or the Saint Francis Borgia Renovation Fund are preferred.
