Mason Eugene Caldwell, Sr., of San Antonio, age 79, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 1, 2001. He was a faithful man of God and devoted to his family. He was retired from Kelly Air Force Base. He had served in the United States Navy on the destroyer Higbee at the end of the Second World War. He was preceded in death by his beloved son, Gary Neal Caldwell. Mr. Caldwell is survived by his wife of nearly 54 years, Louise Caldwell; his son, Mason E. Caldwell Jr., and his daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn L. and W. Patrick Cunningham. He is also survived by three granddaughters and a grandson, Amy and John Webb, Lisa and Brandon Ginn, Julie and Tracey Lehmann, and David and wife Faith; seven great-grandchildren, Michael, Nicole, Madison, Zoey, Joshua, Megan and Noah. Mr. Caldwell enjoyed playing guitar for the Services at Alamo Revival Center for many years, and in recent years had attended Faith Outreach. SERVICES Visitation will be held Monday, September 3, 2001 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Mission Park Funeral Chapels North, 3401 Cherry Ridge Drive, San Antonio, TX. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, September 4, 2001 at 11:00 A.M. at Mission Park North with Dr. Dewey (Bud) Gardner officiating. Interment to follow at Mission Burial Park North. Mission Park Funeral Chapels North.
