They were married in the Salt Lake Temple on June 9, 1975. Keith brought his daughter from previous marriage. On May 27, 1978 Liz, Keith and Liz's daughter were sealed in the St George Temple. Keith passed away on January 17, 1979. She was reunited with Keith 3 days short of their 38th wedding anniversary. Survived by her daughter, Mari Lisa (Mark) Hebel, step-daughter, Lisa (Rob) Nielson; grandchildren, Erick, MeLissa, and Keith Hebel, Staci, Corey (Sadee) Nielson; great-grandchild, Coleman Nielson; siblings, Donald Jr.( Phyllis), Robbie (Leroy) Garcia, Nancy (Ken)Phillips, Joy (Ken) Fingerlos, Thomas, Richard (Yvonne), Nata (Chris) Garbett, Barbara (Dirck) Kenstler, Sue (Tillman) Hathaway; brothers and sisters in-law, Clark (Barbara) Gurr, Earl Gurr, Doralee (Mitch) McAllister, Annalu (Kelly) Ure and 196 nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by husband, parents, parents-in-laws, 1 brother, 1 brother-in-law, 1 sister-in-law, 3 nieces and ex-husband.
Liz was a faithful member of the LDS Church. She attended Pocatello High, LDS Business College, and Utah State Extension Service for her Master Gardener Courses. She was a member of Lamda Delta Sigma Sorority, Daughters of the Utah Pioneers and The Amazing Susan Boyle fan website. Liz was a Master Gardener for LDS Church and had many passions in life including family, taking family snapshots, gardening, scrapbooking and genealogy. Liz enjoyed planning family reunions, Arrowhead Press parties, and any type of family get-togethers. She strived to attend all events that were important in her daughter's, grand-children's, siblings and many nieces and nephews lives.
Betsy loved her family unconditionally and will be dearly missed. She was the glue that held us together. We are all grateful for the time we had with her. She "Dreamed a Dream" of a united family that is both here and beyond the grave. In Betsy's honor, spend time doing some family history with your loved ones and be there for each other.
