Mr. William Buey McKee
Mr. William Buey McKee, 75, of Parkdale, who was born August 22, 1928, 1937 in Wilmot, died Wednesday, January 14, 2004, at the Chicot Memorial Hospital in Lake Village. He had lived outside Parkdale since 1970 and was a former resident of Farmerville, LA, and Phoenix, AZ. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, a Mason and member of the Portland Masonic Lodge #499, a retired farmer and a member of the Wilmot Baptist Church.


Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Jackie Compton McKee of Parkdale; three daughters, Linda Sue Brandon of Wasilla, Alaska, Cora Lee Bridges of Eudora and Terry Ruth Armstrong of Parkdale; a brother, Wayne McKee of Bastrop, LA; four sisters, Sally Galler of Bastrop, Juanita Grice and Alma Bordeaux of Wilmot and Nellie Jean May of Bastrop; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, Jack McKee; his parents, Earl and Dolly Rogers McKee; two brothers and one sister.

Funeral services were at 10 a.m., Friday, January 16, in the Wilmot Baptist Church with the Rev. Philip Bowles officiating. Burial followed services at the Parkdale Cemetery under the direction of Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home of Hamburg. Pallbearers were Steve, Dennis and Billy Joe McKee, Bernard Blocker, Larry Holland, Yancey May and Michael Armstrong.
