John Michael Diebolt of Grand Ledge a loving son, brother, uncle, nephew and friend passed away unexpectedly June 28, 2013 and he will be greatly missed by family and friends. John was born July 12, 1987 in Kalamazoo, Michigan to Timothy and Janet Diebolt. He graduated from Grand Ledge High School Class of 2006. John was an outstanding athlete and played varsity baseball for Grand Ledge. He enjoyed outdoor activities including golf, hunting and fishing. John's sense of humor and likeability meant he had a lot of friends and no matter what, he always supported and helped them anyway he could. He is survived by his mom, Janet Diebolt; dad, Tim (Penny) Diebolt; brother, Dan (Lindsey ) Diebolt and their daughter Gemma; aunt, Julie Geyer; uncles, Jeffery and John Geyer along with several other aunts and uncles; step-brothers, Shawn and Andrew Geahan. He will also be missed by his Siberian Husky, Bandit. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 3, 2013, 11:00am at the Holihan-Atkin Funeral Home, Grand Ledge with Deacon John McCarthy of the St. Michael Catholic Church, officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday 5-8:00pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given to the John Michael Diebolt Scholarship Fund, Grand Ledge Pony Colt Baseball & Softball League, P.O. Box 15, Grand Ledge, Michigan 48837.
