Joseph (Joe) Gohner, 70, Fargo, ND died Tuesday evening March 6, 2007 at his home in Fargo, ND. Joseph Gohner was born May 13, 1936 near Jud, ND, the son of John Gohner and Amelia (Suko) Gohner. He attended the local rural school and also Jud Public School. He grew to manhood in the vicinity where he helped on the family farm. He and Phyllis Konrad were married Deccember 8, 1957 at Jamestown, ND. They made their home on a farm near Gackle for a few years. In 1963 they moved to Lincoln, NE where he worked for the Cornhusker Tile & Marble Company. They moved to Montpelier, ND in 1968 where he started Gohner Tile & Marble. In 1982 they moved to Alfred, ND and retired in 1994, they enjoyed spending their winters in Arizona. In 2006 they moved to Fargo, where they have resided. He was a member of the Church of God 7th Day in Alfred, ND.

He is survived by his wife, Phyllis, 3 daughters, Kristy Lynn Schmidt, Karol Jo Ciavarella, Karen Kay Gohner, 7 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, 2 brothers and 4 sisters, Laverne Yetterboe, Delores Schroeder, Sharon Schlenker, Judy Mickelson, Paul Gohner, and James Gohner. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 son, Alan, 1 brother and 3 sisters.
