Funeral services for Leland John Arkinson who died in a car accident on the Beaver Creek road Tuesday morning, June 2, were conducted this afternoon at the Lutheran Mission at Rocky Boy Burial was in the Rocky Boy Cemetery.
Mr Arkinson was born June 17, 1952 in Helena He was reared and attended schools in Havre and later worked at the Indian Studies Resource Center in Great Falls He had attended the Southwestern Indian Polytechnic Institute in Albuquerque, NM.
Survivors include his wife, the former Cheryl Bradford, Great Falls: daughters, Priscilla. Great Falls and Rachel, New Mexico; his father. Joseph Arkinson Sr., Helena, five sisters, JoAnn Williams, Great Falls; Cynthia Schmockel and Sharon .Azure, both of Havre. Marcella Knaub, Buffalo, Wyo. and Martinez Arkinson, Tacoma, Wash, and three brothers, Joe Arkinson. Rocky Boy; Donnie Arkinson, Great Falls and Bill Schmockel, Havre. Holland and Bonine Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
