OBITUARY:
Colon N. Patton, 82, Stark City Rte 1, died at 3:35 p.m Friday in Cardwell Memorial Hospital, Stella, after an illness of three weeks.

Mr. Patton, a retired farmer, was born near Powell, Sept. 14, 1883, and had lived in the area all of his life. He was a member of the Wanda Methodist Church.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Ethel Patton; three daughters, Mrs. Fern Cupps and Mrs. Mary Gleason, both of Neosho, and Mrs. Virginia Stipp, Stark City; two sons, Melvin Patton and William Patton, Ensign, Kan.; three brothers, J.W. Patton, Neosho, Lloyd Patton, Pratt, Kan., and Wyatt Patton, Stark City; three sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Stipp, Granby, Mrs. Bertha Hudson, Tulsa, and Mrs. Georgia Vaness, Gravette, Ark.; 13 grandchildren; and 19 great grandchildren.

Services will be held in Monday at 2 p.m. at the Wanda Methodist Church. The Rev. Norman Taylor and the Rev. A. F. Blair will officiate. Burial will be in the Wanda Cemetery under direction of the Clark Funeral Home. (Neosho News, Sunday, 10 January 1965)
