Lillie Mae Walker Services for Lillie Mae Walker, 45, of Ruston, LA will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 23, 2004 at Owens Memorial Chapel with Reverend Keith Rowe and Brother Jim Manning officiating. Burial will follow in the Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery in Vernon, LA under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home. Mrs. Walker passed away Saturday, March 20, 2004 at her residence after a long illness. She was a loving wife, mother, and aunt. She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Robert Walker; one daughter, Tonya Walker and two sons, Nathan Walker and Ben Walker; granddaughter, Kalie Book and grandson Ellis Davis, all of Ruston, LA; her mother, Annie Mae Bennett and husband Rex of Spearsville, LA; three sisters, Patsy Colvin and husband Rodney of Arcadia, LA, Linda Broome of Spearsville, LA and Bessie Holly and husband Barry of Shreveport, LA; one brother; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Albert Van Walker and Allie Bell Walker of Vernon, LA; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Albert Wayne Walker of Vernon, LA, Susie and Jim Klinger of Yukon, OK, Donald and Sheila Walker of Competition, MO, Kay and David Lightfoot of Auberry, CA, Joyce Walker of Haughton, LA and Leo and Christy Walker of Vernon, LA. Mae is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, foster brothers and sisters and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
