Bridget was a daughter of Daniel and Annie Tuite who had recently moved from Limerick City to Dublin around 1910.
She immigrated to the U.S.A., sailing aboard the Laconia from Cogh, Ireland, and arriving in Boston on 23 September 1928. Bridget was described as a tailoress, 5'4", fair complexion with dark hair and brown eyes . . . and no "Marks of Identification". She named her father Daniel Tuite of 1 Murrays Cottage, Sarsfield Rd., Dublin, as her nearest relative in Ireland; and named her sister, Uncle, Stephen [Michael] Fodge of 2003 West 13th St., Chicago, Illinois, as her destination. Stephen was born in Illinois; his Irish born wife was Nellie Lee.
Bridget became a U.S. citizen in Detroit, Michigan, on 4 November 1940. She was married to Olin Ackerman and lived in Michigan, U.S.A.
Bridget died at her sister's residence, 1 Murray's Cottages, Sarsfield Road, Inchicore, survived by her brother, sister, in-laws, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Services were held at Oblate Church, Inchicore, followed by burial in Bluebell Cemetery. Olin predeceased her.
