Verla was born June 22, 1918, in Lead, S.D., to Fred and Susie Wood. She lived most of her life in northern Idaho.

She enjoyed sewing, gardening, dancing and reading.

She married Rollin Hansted in 1936 and was widowed in 1939.

She married Robert Boutillier in 1941, which ended in divorce.

She married Arthur Campbell in 1979 and was widowed in 2003.

Verla is survived by three daughters, Margaret L. (Peggy) Turner of Dayton, Wash., Loreata R. Curnel of Paducah, Ky., and Corinne M. Carlisle of Spain; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; twin sister, Violet; younger sister, Carlyn; and son Gary M. Boutillier.

Her wishes were to be buried by her beloved husband Arthur Campbell at the Memorial Garden Cemetery in Coeur d'Alene. She wanted no funeral service.
