Brian Erik Konczak, 12, of Duluth died Sunday, Nov. 7, 2004 as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was the son of Jackie and Larry and Steve. Brian was born March 3, 1992 in Duluth. He was a student in the 7th grade at Morgan Park Middle School. Brian enjoyed hunting, fishing and after school sports. Brian was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Bernard Konczak; and paternal grandparents, Frank and Betty Oppel; and Larry and Betty Lane; uncle, Dale Konczak; and aunt, Nancy Johanson. He is survived by his mother and step-father, Jackie and Larry; father, Steve; sisters, Jessica, Christine, Melissa, Heather and April, all of Duluth; brother, Danny (Nicole) of Staples, Minn.; maternal grandparents, Nancy and Bob of Duluth, Minn.; paternal grandmother, Marilyn of Duluth; many uncles, aunts, cousins and his best friend, Alex. FUNERAL SERVICE:10:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 12, 2004 in First Memorial Funeral Chapel, 4100 Grand Avenue in Duluth. Visitation will be held Thursday, Nov. 11, 2004 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in First Memorial Funeral Chapel. Burial will take place at Oneota Cemetery in Duluth.
