Edith Eldene Jensen was born at home on February 19, 1935 in Burley, Idaho and passed away May 13, 2012 at home in Mesa, Arizona. She was the youngest child of Alfred Jensen & Edith Adelia Nye Jensen. She attended the Miller School, Burley Junior High and Burley High School. She graduated in 1958 from Brigham Young University with a BA in Music. She was married I the Idaho Falls Temple August 27, 1959 to Bob Allen.

The couple spent the next 47 in Southern California, 42 of which were in Rowland Heights. They moved to Mesa in 2006. Eldene loved her family. She raised four children: Robert, Jonia, Cathy and Michael. She has three granddaughters, Janelle, Jenny and Elizabeth, and one great granddaughter, Amy.

Eldene served in many positions in church, including Relief Society President for five years, Young Women's President, Stake Cultural Refinement leader, Ward Music Chair/Choir Director, and Primary pianist for about 10 years. After Bob and Eldene moved to Mesa, she served as Relief Society Chorister.

Eldene loved her family, books, playing the piano, singing, traveling, the arts, and gardening. Her great travel accomplishment was making it to all 50 states– the last of which were in October , 2011

She is survived by her husband Robert, her four children, her sister Ruth Christensen and her brother Bryant Jensen
