Obituary

Edward Clinton Harrison, son of Frank and Lou Harrison, was born December 8th,
1902, on a farm near Nevada in Story county, Iowa, and departed from this life
Friday, Feb. 15, at 2:45 p.m., at the age of 49 years, two months and eight
days, near his farm home two miles east of Maxwell, where he had lived for the
past 18 years.

He was united in marriage to Faye Dolph of Maxwell on December 22, 1927, and
to this happy union was born one daughter, Helen Florabelle, now Francis
Thompson, a teacher in the Roland schools.

"Clint" was a great lover of horses and was well known throughout the midwest
because of this fact. Many of his pulling teams were entered in contests with
pride and joy. His home is full of ribbons and trophies for which he was
justly proud.

"Clint" also turned his respect toward mankind. Borrowing a thought from the
great Will Roger, he too would say "I never met a man I didn't like."

Those left to mourn his departure besides his grief-stricken wife and
daughter, Helen, and son-in-law, Francis Thompson are his father and
stepmother, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Harrison, one brother Eldon and three sisters,
Edna (Mrs. O. S. Mallory of Ames), Mable, (Mrs. Orvillle Harrison of Nevada)
and Bessie, (Mrs. Ole Nerness of Cambridge), a half-sister, Nadine Harrison of
Nevada and a stepbrother, Eugene Millsap, also his mother and father-in-law,
Mr. and Mrs. Otto Davis, these and other relatives, a wide circle of friends
and a number of neighbors.

Many of those attending the funeral were from all of Story county and the
surrounding counties.
