Albert C. Abare
Ludlow-Albert C. Abare, 71, of 103 Wilson St., a musician with the Ted Lockwood Orchestra for 35 years, died Tuesday in Mercy Hospital. A lifelong resident, he was employed by the Westinghouse Corp. for 30 years, and the Massachusetts Department of Public Works. He was a member of the American Radio Relay League, American Federation of Musicians Local 171 and was a communicant of St. John the Baptist Church. He leaves his wife, the former Edna Lavoie; two daughters, Lois Rogers of East Longmeadow, Judith Kumiega of Holyoke; two sisters, Orella Gendreau and Faiola McDonald both of Springfield, and eight grandchildren. The funeral will be Friday morning at Ratell Funeral Home and in the church with burial in St. Aloysius Cemetery.

Family Story that was passed down:
At one point, these brothers had a huge Fued; so much so that it caused George to change the spelling of his last name, he wanted No association with the name "Abare". Some time later, the brothers made Peace, Leading them to be buried in Eternal Peace at St. Aloysius Cemetery, sharing a Headstone, lying side by side.
