Doss was the eighth of ten children born to William Robert and Rebecca Jane Curry Box in Houston Co.,TN.He was farmer and timber-man as was his father.
He moved to Mississippi by 1913 where he married his first wife Annie Alafair Doler, and had seven children. They lived in Mississippi, Arkansas, then moved to Arizona by 1943.
No headstone for Dorsey Thomas Box. Mentioned as husband of Annie on her stone. Believe he is buried there beside her.

Dorsey and Annie were baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in December 1943. Annie died in 1952 at age 58, and is buried in Citizen's Cemetery.

Dorsey md.(2)Ellen Joyce Tilousi,a Native American, in 1955 and had three children. He died in 1962 at age 75 and was buried in Citizen's Cemetery in Flagstaff, but there is no stone found for him. Annie has a hand made stone, most probably made by Doss.
