Vigil service is 7 p.m. today at Rocky Boy Catholic Church. His funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Rocky Boy Catholic Church with burial at Rocky Boy.
Belcourt was born Nov. 30, 1930 in Havre and attended schools in Rocky Boy and Havre. He enlisted in the Army in 1948 and was in the 82nd Airborne Paratroopers, serving in Korea and Vietnam until his discharge in 1969.
He worked for the Forest Service in Montana for one season, then moved to Seattle, where he was employed by Wycoff Lumber Co. He retired from there in 1990 because of ill health and moved to Great Falls.
Belcourt married Alma Sturgeon. They divorced and he married Esther Nicholson. She died and he married Edith Nicholson on June 3, 1995 in Great Falls. In 1997, he attended Rehma Bible College in Tulsa, Okla., graduating in 1998.
He enjoyed attending church, fishing, traveling, and riding his exercise bike.
Belcourt was preceded in death by two sons, Billy and Dan Belcourt.
Survivors include his wife, Edith, of Great Falls; sons, Sam Belcourt of Florida and Wade Belcourt of Tennessee; step-sons, Bruce Houle, John Houle and Lee Houle, all of Great Falls, and numerous grandchildren.
Memorials are suggested to the family.
