Earl James Vallandingham Jr., 50, Laurinburg, N.C.Earl James Vallandingham Jr., 50, of Laurinburg, N.C., died Dec. 11, 2005, at his home. Born Sept. 20, 1955, in Leonardtown, he was the son of Elizabeth Cecilia Lashalt and the late Earl Vallandingham Sr.He was a poultry farmer with Perdue and a contractor with Cooler Erectors of Atlanta. He was an avid NASCAR fan. He addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his son, Earl James Killgore Vallandingham. He is survived by his wife, Lisa Wilkes Vallandingham; three sons, Earl J. Vallandingham III of Orange Park, Fla., and Adam Wilkes Vallandingham and Jacob Rowell Vallandingham, both of Laurinburg; his daughter, Amy Sue Vallandingham of Laurinburg; four sisters, Eva Cecilia Hall of Leonardtown, Earleen Snyder of Hollywood, Noreen Anne Vallandingham of Jacksonville, Fla., and Linda Rose Wilkes of Laurinburg; his stepfather, Clarence Peeler of Charlotte; his mother-in-law, Margaret Wilkes of Laurinburg; and one grandchild, Joy Kay Vallandingham of Bennettsville, S.C. The family received friends Dec. 13 at McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium in Laurinburg. Funeral services will be held today, Dec. 14, at 2 p.m. at Midway Presbyterian Church, officiated by the Rev. Roger Decker and the Rev. Glenn Harris. Interment will take place at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Morganza.
