She was born March 20, 1912 in Lebanon, the daughter of William and Honoria (McNulty) Lamb. She grew up in Lebanon and in 1928 graduated from the Willimantic Normal School, now Eastern Connecticut State University.
She taught in the elementary schools of several area towns retiring in 1972 from the Willington school system. Mrs. Daley served as a 4H leader for many years. She was an active communicant of St. Jude Church in Willington and provided flowers weekly for over 20 years.
She is survived by four children and their spouses, Kathleen and Pete MacDonald of Scio, NY, Elizabeth and William Cheney of Alfred Station, NY, Charles and Isabelle Daley of Burlington, VT, John and Judi Daley of Willington; a brother, Alfred Lamb of Bozrah; 14 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren, with two more on the way; many nieces and nephews.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, 11 a.m. at St. Jude Church, 25 Old Farms Rd., Willington, with assembly at the church. Burial will follow in Willington Hill Cemetery. Her family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St., Rte. 195, 1/2 mile south of Rte. 6, Willimantic, on Monday, 4-7 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Guild, the Willington Senior Center, or to the Willington Historical Society. Published in The Hartford Courant on August 5, 2001
