Michael D. Cyrs, 47, of Littleton, died at his residence on July 16, 1999, after the onset of a sudden illness.

He was born in Manchester on June 25, 1952. He was a 1970 graduate of Littleton High School.

Michael was a specialty building contractor for over 20 years and was the owner and operator of his own company, Michael D. Cyrs Builder, primarily in the North Conway and Lincoln areas.

He was a devoted husband and father, hard working, and he loved NASCAR racing.

His family includes his wife, Cheryl A. Wright Cyrs of Littleton; two stepsons, Jeremy Bolduc and Nathan Wright, both of Littleton; two grandchildren; two brothers, Randy Mercer and Rick Mercer, both of Lumberton, N.C.; his parents, Howard and Patricia Mercer; and his grandmother, Julia Cyrs of Whitefield.

A funeral service will be held at the Pillsbury Funeral Home, 101 Union Street, Littleton today at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Tom Golden officiating. Burial and commital rites will be in the Glenwood Cemetery in Littleton.
