HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. - Mrs. Ann (Englehardt) Anderson, 58, of 1 Marsh Side Drive, died Thursday at the home of her daughter in Meriden, Conn., after a brief illness.

Mrs. Anderson was born March 16, 1934, in New Haven, daughter of the late Louis P. and Louise H. Fischer Englehardt, and lived in Cheshire until moving to Hilton Head Island. She was emplyed as a registered nurse medical staff-quality/QI and a critical care registered nurse at the Gaylord Hospital for 10 years and Hilton Head Island Hospital. She graduated from East Haven High School and the William W. Backus School of Nursing in Norwich, class of 1957. Mrs. Anderson was a member of the First congregational Church of Cheshire and the First Presbyterian Church in Hilton Head, the Order of the Eastern Star Mizpah Chapter No. 37 of Wallingford and was past board member and member of the Hilton Head Choral Society.

She leaves a son, Kenneth Anderson Jr. of Hamden; three daughters, Ms. Cheryl Schwink of Meriden, Mrs. Robert (Faith) Roth of Cheshire, Conn., and Mrs. Louis (Krista) DeFelice of Northford; a sister, Mrs. Edmund (Marcia) Kinney of Wallingford; and four grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in the First Congregational Church of Cheshire, On the Green. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Cheshire. Friends may call at the Slater Funeral Home, 242 S. Main St., Cheshire, today from 2 to 5 p.m.
