Evelyn Louise Schutte Anderson, 74, of Strasburg, Virginia, passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at her home. The funeral will be held Saturday, June 8 at 2:00 p.m. at Dellinger Funeral Home in Woodstock, VA. Reverend George Schutte will officiate. Burial will follow in Detrick Cemetery in Fort Valley, VA.

Mrs. Anderson was born March 30, 1939 in Washington, DC, daughter of the late Henry C. Schutte and Margaret Fitchett Gropper.

She retired from Giant Food and was a member of Jehovah's Witness Kingdom Hall in Winchester, VA.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Blanton Winship Anderson; son, Carl Luther Jett, III; and three grandchildren, Shane Cogswell, J.C. Jett and C.J. Jett.

Evelyn is survived by two daughters, Margaret D. McQuain and husband Dave of Strasburg, VA and Sandra M. Anderson and husband Charles of Strasburg,VA; two brothers, Rev. George Schutte of Richmond, VA and Earl Schutte of NC; grandchildren, Joe Carroll, Sonny Cogswell, Chas Anderson, Melissa Carroll, Allan Daly and Katelyn Jett; step-daughter, Susan Pultz; step-son, Robert Woods; several step-grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Sonny Cogswell, Chas Anderson, Allan Daly, Charlie Anderson, Dave McQuain, Robert Woods, Jim Reynolds and J.R. Woods.

The family will receive friends Friday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Fort Valley Volunteer Fire Dept.
