John is the son of Leonhard Lehner & Catherine Bartholomeu.
John is the husband of Augusta L. Miller. They married on
February 4, 1880 in Michigan. Together they had 3 children,
Julia S Lehner ( Julic Anna)(1882 – 1970),Adelia H Lehner(1885-?),Walter John Lehner(1888 – 1969).

Mt.Clemens, Mich., Febuary 27 (special)- John Lehner,
a prominent groceryman, committed suicide by shooting
himself through the heart with a Flobert rifle this
afternoon. He came from Detroit about noon and went
directly to his barn,were the deed was committed. His
death was a suprise to everyone and a shock to the
community. Finacial embarrassment is believed to be the
cause. He leaves a window and three children.
