Leonhard is the first born son of Johann Leonhard Lehnert (1786 in Markt Erlbach, Mittelfranken, Bavaria, Germany-?)&
Dororthy (Ann) Hagandorfer..AKA Dorothea Anna(17 Dec 1797 in Bavaria-10 Feb 1882 in Clinton Twp, Macomb, MI). He came to this United States in 1843 with his parents Father 57, mother, 46, Siblings... Sabina 20,(HIMSELF)17,Therese 12, Magdalena 9, Margarethe 6, Susanna 1,and Leonard 3 theu all came from Markt Erlbach, Mittelfranken Bavaria.

He married Catherine Bartholomeu(1831 – 1910), together they had 10 children. John Michael Lehner(1855 – 1901),Mary Lehner
(1856 – 1935),Frederick Laner(1859-?), Dorothy Lehner(1860-?),Anna Lehner(1861-1883),Henry Lehner(1862 – 1892),Susan Lehner(1864 – 1944),Elizabeth A Lehner(1866-1953),George Michael Lehner(1869-1875)and William Lehner(1872-1940).

Catherine Bartholomeu and Leonard were Married June 5, 1851.

Leonard Lehner died in Detroit Wednesday
morning, aged 83, after a sickness of
four months. Mr.Lehner was an old and well-to-do
resident of Mt.Clemens, having come here early in life.
He leaves two sons, William and Henry, and three daughters,
Mrs. Park Atwood and Mrs. John Hopkins, of Detroit, and
Mrs.Henry Kuntzman, of Macomb. The funeral is today.
