David A. Larson, age 68, of Mondovi, WI passed away on Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at Sacred Heart Hospital, Eau Claire, WI.

David was born May 7, 1945 in Mondovi, WI to the late Homer and Bernita (Amundson) Larson. On June 5, 1965, he married the Love of his life, Lois (Johnson) Larson at Central Lutheran Church in Mondovi, WI.

David enjoyed going to his grandchildren's functions, Rodeo's, Auctions and working with his animals, horses, small animals and birds. For many years he farmed and worked in Construction.

He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church of Norden and served on the Church Council. He was also a member of the Gilmanton Legion, Midnight Riders, Norden Ridge Runners Snowmobile Club and Operating Engineers Local 139.

David proudly served in the Army National Guard from 1963-1968.

David is survived by his wife, Lois (Johnson) Larson; children, Brenda (Jim) Uschan of Mondovi, WI, Darrell (Karen) Larson of Mondovi, WI, Kevin (Jill) Larson of Eleva, WI, Jerry (Carrie) Larson of Mondovi, WI; and grandchildren, Casey, Shane and Dillon Larson, Ryan and Mathew Payne, Ashley, Weston, Coy, and Cashton Larson, Danielle Litchfield, Brody and Lance Larson, Levi and Logan Uschan; and a great-granddaughter, Kaylee Payne.

His Siblings include, Sharon (Andy) Hager of Stetsonville, WI, Nancy (Pat) Risler of Mondovi, WI, Dale (Cindy) Larson of Elmira, MI., Bonnie (Chuck) Kent of Mondovi, WI, Heidi (Perry) of Eau Claire, WI, Karla Olson of Mondovi, WI; and a sister-in-law, Pat Larson of Mondovi, WI. Many nieces and nephews.

David is preceded in death by his brother, Galen Larson and Randy Larson.

Funeral Services are planned for Saturday June 8, 2013 at the Trinity Lutheran Church of Norden at 11:00 a.m. Burial to follow. Visitation will be held on Friday June 7, 2013 at Kjentvet-Smith Funeral Home in Mondovi, WI from 4-7 p.m. The family will also receive friends and family at the church an hour prior to funeral services.
