She graduated Valedictorian of Cisco High School and received her Bachelors of Music from Texas Tech University. Mrs. Ritter taught music for several years but her desire was always to be a librarian. She returned to school at North Texas University and graduated with a degree in Library Science. She taught many years in Wichita Falls until 1953 when she married John R. (Jack) Ritter and moved to Houston. Mrs. Ritter spent many years with Spring Branch School District until her retirement in 1975. We would like to thank Vitas Hospice and especially Linda. We would also like to thank her good friends Marya and Irma and Connie for their love. Surviving is her daughter, Betty Kelley and husband Wayne; grandchildren, Cheryl Kelley, Laura Mahy and husband Michel; cousins, Mary Bob Leveridge of Cisco, Texas and Eunice Garverick of Las Cruces, New Mexico; sister-in-law Dorothy Ritter of Downers Grove, Illinois; step-daughter, Diane Sherel and husband Hank; step-granddaughter, Lindsy Haddonfield of New Jersey; nephews, Hugh Lundy Bradshaw and wife Johneta of Brenham, Texas, Rev. John Bradshaw and wife Helen of Rockport, Texas; nieces, Elisabeth Napper and husband Lowell of Sonora, California, Beth Williams and husband Charlie VanAlstyne of Texas; step-niece, Ginger Zavatson and husband Bill of Abilene, Texas.
