She was born in Cawker City, Kan., and earned a master’s degree in education. She lived in Salem from 1946 to 1998. She enjoyed reading and traveling and was a member of the First Christian Church. Her husband, Charles, whom she married in 1942, died in 1984.
Survivors include her son, Richard of Homer; sisters, Lola Stingley of McMinnville and Lois Sauer of Salem; and two grandchildren.
Interment will be in Belcrest Memorial Park in Salem.
