Grace Miller
Grace Marie Miller, 69, of Rochester, passed away on Wednesday, May 29, 2013, at Woodlawn Hospital, Rochester.
Born Oct. 12, 1943, in Miami County, Grace Marie was the precious daughter of Robert Avert and Grace Margaret (Garner) Brown. Growing up, she shared her childhood with one sister and seven brothers.
On March 11, 1967, Grace and Choice 'Al' Miller were married in the First Christian Church, Rochester. Together they shared 42 years of life's adventures.
Many will remember Gracie's warm smile and friendly demeanor as she greeted customers at the Fulton County Treasurer's Office. During her career, she also worked at the Fulton County Library and Modern Materials. She was a member of the Ladies of the Moose and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Eagles.
An avid Notre Dame fan, Gracie scheduled her social calendar around cheering for the Fighting Irish. She also enjoyed bowling on the women's league at Quick's Lanes. The family of Gracie Marie wishes to thank her special friends for their love and support: Lois Wonders, Sherri Van Meter, Kim Boyer and Herb Corn.
Grace is lovingly remembered by one brother, Max Brown and wife Deloris, of Claypool; sister-in-law, Neva Brown, of Russell, Ky.; several nieces and nephews survive, including Don Brown and wife Bari and Robert 'Bob' Brown, all of Kokomo.
Grace Marie was welcomed to Heaven by her parents; husband, Al; a sister, Dorothy Bixler; six brothers, Bob, Joe, Lee, Ira, Kenneth and John; a brother-in-law, George Bixler; and many other friends and members of her extended family.
A celebration of the life of Mrs. Grace Marie Miller will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 31, 2013, in the Good Family Funeral Home, Rochester, with Chaplain Jason See officiating.
Friends may visit with the family from 9-11 a.m. on Friday in the funeral home.
She will be laid to eternal rest next to her beloved husband Al in Rochester IOOF Cemetery.
Memorials, in lieu of flowers, may be made to the Northern Indiana Community Foundation.
