Great Falls —Michael J. Albert, 57, of Great Falls, passed away on May 25th. A wake will be held at the Northwest Center, located at 2201 NW Bypass, beginning at 5 PM on Tuesday, May 28th. His funeral service will be held at 9 AM Wednesday, also at the Northwest Center, followed by a Journey Feast, and burial at Highland Cemetery.

Michael was born on July 12, 1955 in Great Falls, and raised at Hill 57. He graduated from C.M.R. High School and attended the University of Montana for a year. He worked at Malmstrom AFB with housing privatization firm Balfour Beatty Community.

Michael drew great joy from and adhering to his Native American culture and beliefs, such as the sweatlodge and praying in his native language; Michael passed on at such a ceremony at Hill 57. He enjoyed watching all sports, loved his work, and he loved the company of his grandchildren. He loved us all dearly.

Michael is survived by his daughter Mandy Lee Albert-Hawley; sisters Elaine Albert, Ramona (Chester) Albert, Linda (Randall) Parker, and Karen T. (Roger) Watkins; brothers Larry Dean (Joann) Albert, Edmond (Sonja) Albert, John (Jamie) Albert, and Ethan Albert; as well as five grandchildren: Jaylee Mount, Cassidy Mount, Layla Hawley, Clayton Michael Hawley, and Cole Hawley.

Those who have preceded Michael in death include his mother and father, Anna M. Albert and David C. Albert, brothers Baby James and Neil Anthony Albert.
