Eva A.Hagen, 94, a guest at Spruce Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center for the past four years, passed away May 26, 2013 at 6:10 am in Reading Hospital. She was the wife of the late Richard A. Hagen who passed away October 27, 2003 and who she met at a USO dance during World War II in New Orleans. Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, she was the daughter of the late John H. and Amelia (Schmitt) Haas. She was employed by Baldwin Brass in Reading for twenty five years in data processing retiring in 1990. She enjoyed sewing and making clothing for herself and her daughter Maureen, enjoyed oil painting and was very active with the USO during World War II. She also won first place at a USO dance contest in New Orleans. Mrs. Hagen is survived by her daughter Maureen E. Hagen of Exeter Township along with several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church 1110 Snyder Road, West Lawn, PA 19609 in memory of Mrs. Eva A. Hagen.

Visitation:
The family will receive friends Thursday, May 30, 2013 12-1:00 pm.

Services from Bean Funeral Home 6 Fairlane Road, Exeter Township Thursday, May 30, 2013 at 1:00 pm. Rev. Robert McSurdy officiating.
