Blanche C. Ohler, 79, Berlin died Sept. 18, 1997, at Lee Hospital, Johnstown. Born March 10, 1918, in Corriganville, Md. daughter of Clarence and Saloma (Clites) Emerick. Preceded in death by parents, husband, George Ohler, children: Anna, Cahterine, Robert, Benjamin and Harry, and brother, Johnny. Survived by these children: Edward Shaffer, married to the former Shirley Darnell, Flint, Mich.; Eva married to George Walters, Seward; and Daisy, married to Jack Henry, Garrett; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren. Sister of: Eva, Chester, Ray, Leo, Curtis and Vernon Emerick, Annie Deneen, Lilly Osbourne, Ruby Shroyer and Ilene Kennell. Member of the Berlin Christian Missionary Alliance Church. Family will receive friends from 7-9 Saturday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin. Viewing at Berlin C.M.A. from 9 a.m. until service at 10 a.m. Monday, with Revs. Sherman Berkey and Frank Harvey officiating. Interment, Union Cemetery, Meyersdale.
