Thomas Richard 'Tom' Stolns was born to the parents of Remmie and May Stolns in Boulder, Boulder County, Colorado on 3 Oct 1918. At a very young age he traveled with his parents to Bellaire, Smith County Kansas where his father Remmie and 2 siblings were doing drilling with his brothers, Jules and P.L. Stollens (P.L. Spelled his name a different way than the rest of his brothers and sister. They were in Kansas when word came that grandfather passed in Boulder, Colorado. All three families packed up and went back to Boulder. Tom never left Boulder again. One dreadful day he contacted spinal mengitus and passed on 12 Sept 1938. He was only 19 years old.

He left behind both parents his sister Emily Mae and brother Ernest (Ernest was born in Bellaire, Kansas) He is laid to rest in Green Mountain Cemetery, where a few years later his sister Emily Mae would join him in death at a young age also.

Tom is laid to rest in Green Mountain Cemetery, in Boulder, Colorado, close to where his mother and sister Emily are laid to rest.
