Alphonse (P.L.) was born on the 2nd of August 1887 and then immigrated as a baby from Moererke, West Flanders, Belgium with his parents Carl L Stollens/ Stolns and wife Marie Theresia Rapelier. He had four older siblings, Kamel, Emily Mae, Jules and Remmie. Emily after she married Medard Roels moved back to Moererke, Belgium... He married Odga Pierson, had a son Elmer. While he was in Bellaire, Smith County, Kansas working P.L. passed away on the 22nd of January in the year 1919. The great Flu epidemic was raging abroud and all over the United States. He was one of the unfortunate ones. He left behind his young son, Elmer and his wife Ogda. After his death his wife bought him back to Boulder, Colorado and had him buried in Green Mountain Cemetery. Section C, number 33. No gravestone. The cemetery gave me a map with the location of burial.

On his birth cert, marriage licence, WW1 draft card and his death cert., his name is spelled P.L.. Family called him Phonse and on the immigration manifest it is spelled Fostor.
