Bushong, Walter F. Age 80, of Brookville, passed away Wednesday, December 5, 2001 at Harborside Nursing Home following an extended illness. He was born Feb. 14, 1921 in Union Co. Ohio to Burnis & Atlanta Bushong who both preceded him in death. Survived by wife of 51 years, Dorothy (Hover) Bushong; daughters & sons-in-law, Beth & Wayne Yeary, New Lebanon, Beverly & Allen Orre, Brookville; grandsons, Dustin Yeary, Andrew Yeary, Jacob Orre & Jordan Orre; brothers, Sumner Bushong, Marysville, Rev. Burnis Bushong, FL. He was a US Army Air Corp veteran of WWII. He retired from the Ohio State Highway Patrol Nov. 9, 1974 after 30 years service, serving at posts in Van Wert, Findlay, Bellefontaine, Kenton, Dayton & Eaton. He also worked for the PUCO transportation division for over 8 years. Graveside service will be held 10:00 AM Friday, Dec. 7 at Royal Oak Memorial Gardens, Brookville.
