Gladys Marie Blaylock was born on March 10, 1916, in Muldrow, Sequoyah County, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Lawrence Andrew and Lillian "Lillie" May (Howard) Blaylock. Gladys spent her early childhood in Oklahoma, but by 1930 the family had relocated to San Bernardino, California. She was a member the First Baptist Church in Colton and the National Association of Retired Federal Employees. She had worked as a secretary for Norton Air Force Base for 35 years. Gladys died at the age of 85 on February 22, 2002, at Community Hospital of San Bernardino in San Bernardino, California. She was survived by many nephews and nieces.
